CONGRATULATIONS!

100% of the Kindergarten students knows all 31 words on our high frequency list! We will celebrate with a pizza party lunch on Thursday, March 1st.

We have voted for a cheese pizza and a sausage pizza, fruit, and Gatorade.  Don't pack a lunch!
Look for new challenges ahead!

Valentine's Day

Thank you, Will for bringing in the delicious treats!  The chocolate dipped Rice Krispies treats were so yummy, they disappeared before I got a picture!

Blubber Glove

After learning that both penguins and polar bears have a thick layer of blubber to keep them warm, the students tried a little experiment.  First they tested the ice water to see how long they could keep their bare hand in the cold temperature.  Then they tried the ice water while their hand was in the innermost layer of a double bag that we had placed a thick layer of lard between.  Inside the bag was noticeably warmer.

CSW Visitors

Alan Koch talked to the students about his career as a farmer.

Mary Reich talked to us about her career as a nurse.

Karl Groesch talked to us about his career as a law enforcement officer, currently as a sheriff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to come into our classroom and talk to us about your jobs and how your faith has played a role in what you do.  The students really enjoyed this time!
